Rotary Log 12-18-18

Rotarians were greeted by Randy Hansen, PP and Paul Stoot.
 
President Amy Norman opened the 25th meeting of her term with the Pledge of Allegiance.
All remained standing for Paul Stoot’s Thought of the Day prayer.
 
Randy Hansen, PP, introduced the visiting Rotarians and guests:
Len Maio Parker, Christopher Hamilton, Cat Wilson, Ryan Casey, Christy and Jerrad Patrick (parents of Taylor Patrick, Sequoia Student of the Month), Erin Sullivan (mother of Lily Sullivan, Cascade Student of the Month), Ms Cooper, Cascade High School and Betty Zabalza (mother of Zenaida Zabalza, Everett Student of the Month).

  • Membership Committee: Will McMahan asked us to think about our Rotary Elevator Talk and invite someone to Rotary.
  • Catering Staff Tipping: President Amy Norman asked us to provide a tip to the catering staff.
  • Paine Field Terminal Tour and Fireside: Kari Petrasek encouraged people to sign up for the Paine Field Terminal Tour as there is a limit of 80 people. She announced that Fireside was tonight at Sonya Kraski’s home.
  • Food Bank Volunteering: Nick Hansen stated that the next volunteer day at Volunteers of America is Friday, Dec. 21st from 11am – 1pm.
  • NO MEETINGS on December 25th and January 1st

Program: “Rotary Holiday Program” presented by Sarena Wiltse and Everett High School Jazz Choir introduced by Lance Balla.
 
The Everett High School Jazz Choir performed four Christmas songs for the members. They sang Carol of the Drum, White Christmas, 12 Days after Christmas and We Need a Little Christmas. It was a wonderful program!
 
Past President Randy Hansen was given the Inspiration Award.
