President Amy Norman opened meeting leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Larry O’Donnell announced to the Club that Mark Nesse passed away on Sunday morning. The memorial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Everett on either November 3rd or 10th.

Program
"Innovation Resource Center”
Glen Bachman introduced Diane Kamionka, Executive Director of the NW Innovation Resource Center. The NWIRC was started in 2010 due to a need for a center to help entrepreneurs in the 5 counties north of King County. NWIRC serves entrepreneurs and inventors through the following services:
- Mentoring Program – 6,000 volunteer hours in 2017
- Slingshot – Take inventors product to market
- Investment Fund – Early stage investment in startups.
NWIRC is opening 3 center called “The Lab” in Everett (opening in November on EvCC campus), Arlington and Mount Vernon. This will provide a common place for entrepreneurs to collaborate.
Inspirational Rotarian Award
President Amy presented Ed Rubatino with her Inspiration Award, recognizing all he has done for Rotary and our club.
