PROGRAM: City of Everett Update
Paul Stoot introduced Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin. Mayor Franklin is a Past President and member of the South Everett Mukilteo Rotary Club.

The city of Everett is experiencing growth and opportunities. Mayor Franklin presented on transportation, annexation and economic development.

Everett Transit and Community Transit are in discussions to consolidate to create a stronger regional transportation network. Everett Transit does exceptional work. Community Transit has longer service hours and can reach the region better. One of the reason for the consolidation is to demonstrate ridership with public transportation. This will help the Link Light Rail spine to be completed to Everett.

City is working to assist with permitting for more housing units. There is potential to annex south Everett. The city can provide robust services to this population of residents. The voting will be in early February 2027.

Economic Development is a high priority. A variety of companies – Aerospace, Manufacturing and Clean Energy – are making Everett home.

The Outdoor Event Center is a project that has been in the works for four years. To keep the Everett AquaSox Baseball team a new facility is needed. This new venue can host concerts, community events, youth sports tournaments and much more.

Mayor Franklin answered questions.

President Kari Petrasek closed the meeting and thanked Mayor Frankline for presenting and thanked the bell ringers.

NEXT PROGRAM: District Governor Kathleen Olson, District 5050.
