"Hybrid Electric Commuter Planes”
Rich White of Boeing and former member introduced Matt Knapp, Co-Founder and CTO of Zunum Aero.  Zunum Aero was started in 2013 to develop a hybrid-to-electric aircraft that will travel over ranges from 700 miles in the early 2020s to over 1,000 miles by 2030.  The company is supported by investors including Boeing.  The first airplane is expected to fly in 2019 and be in service in 2023.  The airplane will be designed to go all electric in the future when battery technology improves.

President Amy presented Roy Yates with her Inspiration Award, recognizing all he has done for Rotary and our club.
