Rotary Honors Three as January Students of the Month
The Rotary Club of Everett on January 20, 2026, honored three local high school students as Rotary Students of the Month.
Each month during the school year the club recognizes and celebrates outstanding high school students in the city of Everett for their accomplishments and their promise.

Everett High Student of the Month is Bridgeth Castillo Rodriguez, who has participated in AVID, an active member of Latinos Unidos and secretary for the new Latinos in Action program. A member of the National Technical Honor Society, she has challenged herself in AP classes and completed Sno-Isle Skill Center’s Criminal Justice Program. Yet it is her kindness and drive that really set her apart. Her counselor said “Bridgeth will contribute to this world in all the positive ways, and she will do it with a purpose that impacts all those around her. She is a change maker.”

Cascade High School Student of the Month is Sophia Angelie Manabat. Sophia balances a college-level course load with active involvement on campus. A member of the National Chinese Honor Society, National Honor Society, Key Club, and Asian Student Union, she serves as a leader on the girls’ tennis team and a manager for the boys’ team. Sophia has spent time tutoring an elementary student with autism and volunteering at her local food bank. Sophia plans to study chemistry or biochemistry at the University of Washington and pursue a career in medical research.

Student of the Month from Sequoia High is Jordynn Rodriguez. Jordynn is hyper-focused on classes at Sequoia and at Sno-Isle, where she is enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician program. She played a prominent role in planning and putting together Sequoia’s first dance—an event that required teamwork, creativity, and perseverance. Her goal is to become a nurse practitioner, so she can help people and build a stable, successful future for herself. Jordynn will begin her pharmacy internship next semester. Next fall, she will continue her education at Everett Community College.
