Rotary Honors Three as April Students of the Month
The Rotary Club of Everett on April 21, 2026, honored three local high school students as Rotary Students of the Month.
Each month during the school year the club recognizes and celebrates outstanding high school students in the city of Everett for their accomplishments and their promise.

Everett High Student of the Month is Mia Cienega. A two-time state champion wrestler, multi-All-American, national finalist and two-time preseason national champion, she has also excelled academically, completing eight AP courses while maintaining a GPA of 3.7. In class, Mia consistently seeks out the most challenging material and contributes thoughtful, analytical insights, showing a genuine love of learning and a drive to grow. And she inspired younger students by sharing her journey as a female wrestler in a male-dominated sport, urging them to persevere and believe in themselves.

Cascade High School Student of the Month is Kaylee Kim, recognized for her outstanding academic performance, leadership, and community service. She has maintained a 3.9 GPA while taking seven AP courses. Under her leadership HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), took part in the Washington State Leadership Conference, and she qualified for state‑level competition in Creative Problem Solving. Kaylee completed more than 50 volunteer hours at a local memory care center and assembled more than 100 origami activity kits for children at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Student of the Month from Sequoia High is Karrera Staeheli, a student with a renewed sense of determination—not only to pass his classes, but to genuinely learn, grow, and take ownership of his future. His growth and maturity are evident in everything he does, from his focused approach to academics to the way he carries himself each day. Karrera is considering pursuing his interest in business through the Entrepreneurship program at Washington State University. He is a genuinely kind and respectful individual and a valued member of the school community.
