The Rotary Club of Everett on December 10, 2024 honored three local high school students as Rotary Students of the Month.

 

Each month during the school year the club recognizes and celebrates outstanding high school students in the city of Everett for their accomplishments and their promise.

 

 

Student of the Month from Sequoia High is Sabin Hauck. Sabin has demonstrated leadership by frequently volunteering to be part of Sequoia’s student voice panels and talk with students new to Sequoia. A teacher said, “Sabin is a kind, helpful and good-humored young person. Once a spark is lit, he has the capacity to thrive. His respectful nature and willingness to support those around him make him a good leader.” Sabin enjoys playing guitar and has taught himself over the last couple years. He’s not sure of his post high school plans but is feeling led to construction and/or carpentry. 

 

 

  

Everett High Student of the Month is Noah Parker. An affable leader, he is well-liked and respected by students and staff. He is a hardworking athlete, a loyal friend, and a curious and driven student. Many think of Noah as a basketball star, but he is just as impressive as a student and person. With a 3.8 GPA, Noah is always challenging himself to do more so he can learn more. A teacher says “He's the type of student I can partner with anyone and know he will be kind and inclusive towards that student.” Noah leads through his actions, and lives based on a strong moral compass and values. 

 

 

Cascade High School Student of the Month is Trina Diep. One staff member states “Trina exemplifies what teachers dream of in a student: she is hardworking, confident, and constantly eager to learn and experience more. Her dedication and drive to move the needle makes her a standout in every endeavor she undertakes.” Another teacher said “Trina has been the pianist for Revelation Jazz Choir for two years and has been an exceptional member in that time. She is constantly on top of her work, is willing to try new things, and is kind to others.”
