President Amy Norman opened the 43rd meeting of her term. President Amy Norman led the Pledge of Allegiance. All remained standing for Abby Cooley’s Thought of the Day was about the inspiration from the Scholarship Night.

  • Kelli Thode – Development Director of American Red Cross in the last 8 months. She is from the Puget Sound Region. She talked about her family and her work.
  • EPS Lost & Found – Clothes for Kids – Judi Edwards – A few openings left and waiting to hear back from schools. We pick up clothing at Lost & Found and take it to Clothes for Kids. Please let Judi know.
  • Fireside - Fontelle Jones – Reminder May 22nd Fontelle will be hosting a Fireside and let Judi know.
  • Scholarship Night Update – Russ Kimball – Thanked everyone for their work! Lots of support from Rotarians and Counselors. Planning for 2020 scholarships.

Program: “Clean Water Project in Panama” presented by Aleph Fackenthall introduced by Glen Bachman
 
Aleph Fackenthall is the President of the Healing Fund. Providing hope and help and heling to those in need. Aleph talked about the Healing Fund Goals which are coordinate yearly trips to Panama and create awareness. He showed the work the group has done in providing cleaning water in communities in Panama. His group partnering now with local Rotary Club which just started in 2019.
 
George Bowden was recognized for the Inspirational Award.
