Rotary Club of Everett
 
 
MEETING:
President Michael Kvistad led the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. This was meeting #5,573, Rotary Club of Everett, and meeting #23, President Michael’s year.
 
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: 
Ashley Bolden gave the Thought of the Day. “Fear. Opposite is love for one another, ideas, country, the vulnerable, for all.”
 
INTRODUCTION OF VISITING ROTARIANS AND GUESTS:
Steve Chittenden, Port Gardner Rotary, visited the club.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Everett Port Gardner Rotary club is selling raffle tickets for a 1968 Camaro. You may purchase tickets with the Port Gardner Club. Tickets are 5 for $20.
 
Brian Hollingshead is retiring on December 12th. There is a get together at his office from 1 pm – 3 pm. An invitation to all. He has owned the business for 25 years.
 
Kari Quaas stated that Everett had a tree lighting last weekend with snow. Toby dressed up like an elf and cruised on the sleigh.
 
Rotary Club is having a get together at Kindred Kitchen on December 5th at 10 am.
 
HAPPY DOLLARS AND BIRTHDAY BUCKS: 
Brian Hollingshead was happy as he is retiring.
 
Larry O’Donnell was happy. Did not capture what he stated.
 
Tammy Dunn was grateful as she spent half of November in Montana.
 
Steve Chittenden, Port Gardner Rotary, told a story when he was sent to the principal’s office. Larry O’Donnell was gracious.
 
Ralph Quaas was happy for Kari Quaas’ operations of the Wintertide activities.
 
President Michael was happy for spending time in New York City with the festivities and a Taylor Swift concert.
 
Jerry Tucker was delighted that Oregon Ducks football team has been #1 in the nation for 7 weeks. He displayed his singing duck which tactfully the battery ran down for the Huskies.
 
RAFFLE:
Winners of the drawing was Larry O’Donnell, Ed Petersen, and Mark Valentine.
 
PROGRAM: FOUNDATION MONTH FINALE
John Olson, PP, thanked everyone for a great November Foundation Month. The club raised $13,799 for the month. He explained the point system and the dollars’ status which is used to recognize the Rotarian as Paul Harris. He thanked Jim Staniford as he is at a Level 3 Paul Harris Donor.
 
John thanked President Michael Kvistad and Sandy Oettel with a bottle of wine from a local vineyard.
 
The Deck of a Deal sold up to four decks of cards. Kari Petrasek’s name was drawn. She will receive points to receive a Paul Harris.
