ROTARY CLUB OF EVERETT
MEETING:
President Kelli Thode started the 51st meeting of the year and the 5,651st meeting of the Rotary Club of Everett with the Pledge of Allegiance.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
PP Neil Angst provided the thought of the day. The message was “change”. Change is the only constant. In today’s celebration in the Changing of the Guard.

RESOLUTION FOR DON SENTER:
Bob Bavasi read Resolution for PP Don Senter. George Bowden offered words about Don.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Community Coffee Hour is Wednesday, July 8th at 9 am. Not sure where the coffee hour will be.
Youth Exchange Picnic for Hakumi is Thursday, July 2nd from 4 pm – 7 pm.

President Kelli presented Carrie a check for Carl Gipson Senior Center. The Senior Center was the charity of the Year.
Hakumi Matsumoto gave a YES Guatemala Trip Recap with Photos. The group went to Jose Maria Village in Guatemala. It was hot and humid during the trip. The group made stoves and assembled water purification filters to improve the village’s water situation. Hakumi stated that the children seemed energetic, and they seemed to live happily. Differences were treatment of livestock and education. Good experience.

INSTALLATION OF INCOMING PRESIDENT AND BOARD MEMBERS:

Past District Governor David Lukov installed Kari Petrasek as President of the club for Rotary Year 2026-2027.

Installation of incoming Board of Directors – Clay Browse, Jennifer Hem, Linsey Gagnon, and Glen Bachman. President Kari handed out Rotary Board of Directors pins and Rotary Theme Pin – Create Lasting Impact. Neil Angst handed out officer Rotary pins.
President Kari handed a Paul Harris award to Cassidy Spencer. Congratulations Cassidy!
President Kari stated that it will be a “Fine” year. Please wear your Rotary pin or apparel. If you don’t wear apparel or the pin, then you will be fined $10. Rotary shirts are $20 and you may borrow a pin for $10.
Her message:

Creating lasting impact – look to the future, long term impact on the work we do, tell how Rotary shapes you. There will be Member Moments throughout the year. Getting more people involved within the meeting and more engagement for all members. The charity for the year is Snohomish County CASA.
HAPPY DOLLARS/BIRTHDAY BUCKS:
PP Kelli was bell ringer happy for Janice Ellis and Ashley Bolden have been selected for a District Award and her last meeting.
Janice Ellis won the 4th of July Party at Hotel Indigo Everett tickets
David Chan was 2 bell ringer happy. Happy about lots of things.
Paul Stoot was happy to be at the meeting as he was in the hospital on Father’s Day. The 15th Annual Golf tournament in July 2026 will be hosted by Gary Payton.
George Bowden was happy with great results from Team in Training Clinical Trial.
Henry Janicki’s birthday was today. Happy 31st birthday!
Janice Ellis gave dollars in honor of Judge Tom Wynne who recently passed away and for the Guatemala trip and gave Bev Harrington a gift.
Bev Harrington thanked the club for supporting a student to experience the YES program.
Jerry Tucker gave in honor of Don Senter’s friendship
Neha Kaur is happy with her upcoming India trip and is raising money through cooking classes.
Krissy Davis honored her mom’s celebration of life.
RAFFLE:
