Rotary Honors Three as Students of the Month for January

In a hybrid online/in-person meeting, the Rotary Club of Everett on January 18th  honored three local high school students as Rotary Students of the Month.

Each month during the school year the club recognizes outstanding high school students in the city of Everett for their accomplishments and their promise.

CASCADE HIGH SCHOOL

Cascade High Student of the Month is Jacob Hahn. Jacob has been in band four years and is now a senior leader in the program. He is an athlete, competing in tennis and golf. He is a student leader, participating in advanced leadership. Jacob is in National Honor Society, with an almost perfect GPA average. He has spent each high school summer working for the Everett Aquasox. He is a member of the Cascade Interact Club, has worked four years on the food drive at Cascade and volunteered for Stuff the Bus for six years.

SEQUOIA HIGH SCHOOL

Student of the Month from Sequoia High is Isaak Jacoby, an incredibly humble, kind student who will be graduating early. After graduation he plans to work full-time, then study social work at Evergreen State College. When not at school, he works at the Everett YMCA. Earlier in high school he sailed with the Sea Scouts and helped clean up the San Juan Islands with his 4H group. During his spare time, he enjoys gaming and traveling out-of-state to visit his grandparents.
