            Tara Eckstrom and Joe Gaffney provided today’s warm greetings.  President Deborah opened her 18^th meeting at 12:08 with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Joe Claeys shared today’s thought about great work attributed to Steve Jobs.

Jeff Cornish introduced visiting Rotarian Linda Murray and Lyle Ryan introduced our guest speakers Sean Hogan and Larry Stinson, both past District Governors.

 

Guests Michael came with Ted Wenta and Alex with Jeff Cornish.

 

Marybeth Dingledy provided a review and update on the Nov. 13 Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner - 4 spots left.

Eileen Simmons reported that last Thursday’s VOA Food Bank event was a success with 13 Rotarians volunteering.  Next opportunity will be in January.

 

Ed Peterson noted that we need one more person to send three to the District Grant Seminars on February 6 or 20.

George Bowden gave us an update on the World Community Service activities in the Dominican Republic.  There will be a trip scheduled in Jan/Feb 2016.

President Deb reminded us of the District Foundation Dinner on Nov. 14^th in Bellingham.

Jesse O’Brien announced an upcoming investment seminar related to social security income.

Marc Baker is collecting turkey money for the Everett High School food drive.  $20 a pop.

Judi Edwards announced our “Darts for a Paul Harris” game after today’s meeting.

Marc Baker was very happy to announce that $600 for turkeys was collected today.  There will be more opportunities at the next two meetings.

Jim Staniford had a $20 gift card for the first person to name one of the two national holidays celebrated today.  Lyle Ryan won by correctly identifying “National Sandwich Day.”

 

            Wine, popcorn, and mugs/bottles were claimed by Rose Goulet, Steve Miller, and Mark Valentine.

 

            To mark the beginning of RI Foundation Month, PDG’s Sean Hogan and Larry Stinson shared with us where our foundation dollars go.  There were lots of statistics surrounding the six primary areas of focus:
