MEETING:
President Michael Kvistad called the meeting to order at 12:00 pm and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. This meeting was the 5,576th meeting of the Rotary Club of Everett and meeting #26 of President Michael’s year.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
We did not catch the Thought of the Day which was given by Ashley Bolden.

INTRODUCTION OF VISITING ROTARIANS AND GUESTS:
Guests were Betty Tucker, Jerry Tucker’s wife, and Tobi Echauri, our exchange student.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
President Michael asked the high school students a few questions and handed out prizes. The questions were:
  • 19th Century literature.  “Call me Ishmael” is the first line of what book? It’s Moby Dick, but it was only answered when I said it was about a whale.
  • I asked What 2020 documentary was about big cat breeding and eccentric zoo operator. They got it right when they said, “Tiger King”.
  • What artist released the album, “Renaissance” in 2022? They got it right away for Beyonce.
  • I also asked what’s the name of the 2023 movie starring Margo Robbie as an iconic doll and Ryan Gosling as Ken. They smashed it with “Barbie”.

HAPPY DOLLARS AND BIRTHDAY BUCKS:
President Michael, Janice Ellis and Larry O’Donnell gave happy dollars.

DRAWING:
