Presidential Recollection
Jim Stark shared his year as President 1990-1991.
  • Reorganized the Club to fit Rotary structure after attending PETS.
  • Rotary Convention in Portland.

"Providence Regional Medical Center"
Preston Simmons, CEO for Providence Health & Services, Northwest Washington presented the program. 

 

Merger of Providence Health System and St. Joseph Health makes the combined entity, Providence St. Joseph Health, the 3rd largest not for profit health system in the country.  With the merger $100 million foundation will be set up to advance solutions in mental health.

With the changing healthcare landscape Providence is trying to deliver higher outcomes at lower costs through various platforms.
Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett was the busiest hospital in the State of Washington.  It is the busiest Emergency Department on the west coast.  Providence has invested $1 billion over the last 12 years in Everett.  In 2015 Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett provided $56 million in community benefit (charitable contributions that improve the overall health and access to care in a community).
