President Deb brought the meeting to order.
 
Sean Kelly followed with the Thought for the Day:  A warning on over dependence on social media. 
 
New member, Tina Gilson of Providence General Foundation, introduced by Gail Larson
 

The duet of Michael and Donna Hawkes provided a musical interlude.
Ron Thompson announced that some of the classifications the club is looking for include several in retail (Liquor and Wine, Furnature, Appliances), machine shops, Janitorial services, and bowling alleys. 
Marybeth Dingledy recapped a recent Rotary hike.
 
Joe Gaffney reminded members of an upcoming fellowship event, skiing at Stevens Pass on February 19th. 
Jess Mitchell is looking for hosts for upcoming fireside events as well.

Historian PP Larry O’Donnell shared that today was the 100th anniversary of the largest single-storm snowfall in local history:  30” in Everett and as much as 5’ in Monroe and Snohomish.
 

There is an upcoming make-up opportunity the weekend of the 10th-13th at the NWAC basketball tournament at Everett Community College.  Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Tammy Dunn.
 
There was a card for George Petrie who is resting at home and PP Mark Nesse informed the group that PP Buzz Miller is at Providence on Colby in room 832.
 

Maddy, Gail Larson, Betsy Baker-Bold, Marybeth Dingledy, Sally Lancaster, Michael Hawkes, Marc Baker, and Sean Kelly all contributed Happy Dollars or Birthday Bucks.
 
Josh O’Connor conducted the raffle with prizes going to Fred Safstrom, Jerry Tucker, and Clay Browse.
 
Tammy introduced PN Will McMahan who discussed this year’s Rotary fundraiser “Pedal To The Medal” and its goal to raise $60,000 for Rotary projects and scholarships in the 2016-17 year.
