Jan Ellis opened last Tuesdays meeting with a thought for the day on the nature of fate.

 

 

  We had a visiting Rotarian, Carl Ellis and guest Katherine Nelson.

 

 

Sally Lancaster announced that the Rotary Youth Exchange is seeking a sophomore student candidate.  Applications are due 10/15 so if you know someone who would be a good prospect, please help her get in touch with Sally.

 

 

Membership Chair Clayton Browse has a target list of companies and industries we’d like to see represented in the club.

 

 

 

EBM’s Dick Schlosser announced that they are hosting a Rotary Fellowship on 10-8-15 and Tim Coulter reminded us of the Rotary Park Cleanup this Saturday from 9-12.

 

 

Judi Edwards is looking for a host for Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner on 11-13-15 in Everett.

 

The RI Foundation Committee is again headed by former President Tom Koenig.  During Foundation month, we will again be offering discounted Paul Harris Fellowships and a unique contest “Darts at Debbie”.

 

Happy Dollars and Birthday Bucks saw donations from Tim Coulter, Julie Hebner, Jan Ellis, Mark Valentine, Marc Baker, Walt Greenwood, and Andrea Sekora who gave a special shout-out to our AVID volunteers.

 

The Raffle, presented by Josh O’Connor, saw prizes go to Will McMahon, Jim Schraeder, and Mark Nesse.

 

Our main program featured a history of the Everett Sausage Fest from Erik Wilkins. 

 

Founded in 1976, the festival raised $100,000 last year for Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.

 

President Deb closed the meeting with a parting thought:  “The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up.”
