Leading Off
Greetings today provided by Kathy Webber and PP Roy Yates.  President Deborah opened meeting #5156 at 12:07, leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Michael Hawks then shared a story about a hanky, a fishhook, and the Rotary 4 Way Test as our Thought of the Day.  PP Mark Valentine entertained us with a great rendition of “Everybody’s Talkin’” from Midnight Cowboy.  George Bowden introduced Dave Duskin and Bill Kmet from the Rotary Club of Arlington and visitors Tammy Walker along with Punkie and Justin with our guest speaker Morgan Larch.

Announcements
PDG Don Senter presented the Resolution of Ronald Edlin, who passed on May 31.

Eileen Simmons is looking for volunteers to help pick up the lost and found clothes at Everett schools.
Marybeth Dingledy reminded us of the Marina Crawl at Anthony’s Woodfire Grill on June 16th
PP Mark Valentine paid 20 public service $ to tell us about a program in the Everett School District to gather and refurbish used instruments.  Volunteers are welcome.
Judi Edwards reviewed the remaining June meeting schedule for us, with a reminder to please pay in advance for the Year-end Celebration on June 28.
Jim Staniford reminded us that today is Flag Day and National Monkey Around Day.
Visiting Rotarians,
Dave and Bill, told us all about the upcoming Arlington Rotary Duck Dash.

Happy/Birthday Dollars
PP Henry Newton was $100 happy to share our centennial year information.
Dale Newman shared that today is the birthday of the U.S. Army.
Katrina Koontz was proud and happy to tell us about the accomplishments of her son’s little league teams.
Gail Larson was $100 happy about her wedding anniversary and sad to mention the Orlando tragedy.
Gary Meisner, celebrating 60 years of wedded bliss, donated One Thousand Dollars to the scholarship fund.
Sonja Kraski and Janice Ellis were both happy, but I don’t remember why.
Judi Edwards and PP Tom Koenig both celebrated birthdays.
Marybeth Dingledy told us about her college reunion.
Neil Angst had a birthday.

Raffle
Steve Ellis, PDG Don Senter, and PP Mark Valentine each took home some form of adult beverage, gift card, and assorted goodies.

Program
Tammy Dunn introduced Morgan Larch with Snohomish County Special Olympics.
Special Olympics in Washington State is comprised of 4 regions covering 16 geographic areas.  Each area has an all-volunteer Area Leadership Team.
Today there are 14 different sports represented with 14,500 athletes and 10,000 volunteers.  Their focus is not just sports, but building communities through inclusion and wellness.  50% of the participants are obese or overweight.
In addition to sports the concentration is on children, wellness, families, unified schools, athlete leadership, and coaches training.

Following announcements, thank yous, and a special reminder of our Year-end Celebration, President Deborah adjourned the meeting at 1:07pm.
