ROTARY CLUB OF EVERETT
LEADING OFF
President Kelli Thode rang the bell at 12:01pm, calling to order meeting #5608 of the Rotary Club of Everett and meeting #8 of her presidency. She then led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance.

PP John Olson introduced former club member Jennifer Hem.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- President Kelli announced the coffee hour next week at Wood’s Coffee. She also announced Rotary After Hours at Apex in Everett, August 28th. There will be a building tour at 4pm and happy hour at 5:30pm.
- Janice Ellis discussed the friendship exchange. We will be hosting Rotarians from Hungary beginning September 20th. Several activities are planned.
- President Kelli announced the blood drive on Friday, August 29th.
- PP Greg Tisdel discussed the club’s strategic planning. The district has some dates available in late September and early October.
- President Kelli announced the memorial service for PP Marc Baker will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 1pm at the Everett High School gymnasium.
CLASSIFICATION TALK: Krissy Davis
Krissy Davis gave her classification talk about her work with Puget Sound Kidney Centers. PSKC helps improve the lives of people by caring for kidney disease. Krissy’s role involves fundraising, marketing and community outreach. She has a background in banking and event planning. One in seven Americans have kidney disease. PSKC has 12 dialysis centers in the area. They also do at-home dialysis as well. They help with education, mainly at senior centers, nutritional programs, supplements, and transportation. Krissy will be participating Leadership Snohomish County in the fall. Krissy then entertained questions from club members.
HAPPY DOLLAR$
- Paul Stoot had $100 in honor of Kenny Easley, who has kidney disease.
- Mark Valentine is feeling better after a urinary tract infection. He had $100 for the great things that PP Marc Baker did for our club.
- Janice Ellis is getting ready to welcome our exchange student from Japan. He had some difficulty in securing a student visa. He will hopefully arrive in late September.
AQUASOX TICKET AUCTION
AquaSox tickets were auctioned off. Winning bidders were:
- Janice Ellis for the August 20th game.
- Mark Johnson for the August 24th game.
- President Kelli for the August 27th game.
RAFFLE
Today’s raffle winners were:

PROGRAM: Leadership Snohomish County
Ryan Willis introduced today’s speaker, Adrianne Wagner of Leadership Snohomish County. Ryan was in the class of 2025. The new class has 40 people. Adrianne has been in Snohomish County for 20 years and was in the program in2012. She has been with LSC since 1998.
LSC’s signature program is a 9-month leadership development program. Their mission is to foster equity and leadership skills for life. They teach collaboration, public speaking and presentations, developing friendships, understanding other perspectives, and the value of mentorship in leadership. Adrianne then entertained questions from club members.
CLOSING
President Kelli presented Adrianne with certificate of donation to the Carl Gibson Center. She also thanked today’s bell ringers. She also reminded the club of PP Marc Baker’s memorial service.
