The meeting was called to order by President Michael Kvistad for Everett Rotary number 5553 and his Rotary meeting number 3. President Michael then led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance.
President Michael began the meeting by talking about music by Billy Joel. He went on to say that future goals would include a speaker program about Rotary in addition to a focus on membership and some new programs.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
President Michael went on to deliver the Thought of the Day.
VISITING ROTARIANS & GUESTS:
Krissy Davis introduced her father who was visiting.
President Michael shared an Olympic Cycling video.
President Michael announced that a procedure for his year at the Indigo would include a fine of $5 for anyone arriving late to the meeting. In return, the late comer would receive a bag of M & Ms.
Rotary After Hours, Thursday, July 18 5-6:30 –members were reminded by Brian Hollingshead.
The newly added “Guess Who” guessing game had some rule changes noted by Krissy Davis. Afterwards, members played the game.
HAPPY DOLLAR$/BIRTHDAY BUCK$:
Ashley Bolden announced that for her goal to lose weight, she is already down 30 pounds (congratulations!);
Paul Stoot had some happy bucks, but I missed it. (Sorry Paul).
RAFFLE:
John Olson picked the wine
Betsy Baker-Bold selected the coffee basket
Mark Valentine was awarded the whiskey by default.
PROGRAM: SOCIAL MEETING
Arbitrary and Capricious Trivia was presented by President Michael Kvistad. It was a Jeopardy style quiz game with three teams (Blue, Dirt-bags and Super Group.) You had to be there.
President Michael thanks all participants and adjourned the meeting.
