12:35  Program introduced by Sean Kelly:  “Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum” (FHCM) presented by Justin Spielmann:
Justin gave a very informative and interesting talk about the Paul Allen collection at Paine Field. The FHCM is a collection of WW2 era aviation and military vehicles and historical information regarding WW2 and war in general: what the causes of conflicts are and how to prevent them, lessons learned in WW2, atomic weaponry and tries to answer the question Are We Safer Now? The FHCM has year round events including a Halloween Monster Bash with costumes and big trucks, “Tanksgiving” on the weekend after turkey day with Santa on a Sherman tank, Winter Series lectures, Sky Fair in July with education and simulation games, European Theater event in August, Vietnam Day Sept 23, Tanks Summer Camp for 11-14 year olds over 4 days. Justin closed by saying they are always looking for volunteers for events, docents and history experts to help out at the museum.  Questions were asked by Walt Greenwood (who has volunteered helping kids build rockets at the FHCM) asked how the FHCM fits in with tourism in the area. Justin responded that they feel they are a big piece of that but need to get the word out more. The FHCM just hired a dedicated marketing person who was previously part of Vulcan (Paul Allen’s company) for more community outreach. Which was followed up with a question by Betsy Baker-Bold asking if Justin if their marketing director was interested in becoming a member of the Rotary Club of Everett, Marc Baker asked about modern equipment vs historical equipment.

1:02  Thank you’s and Closing by President Will McMahan –  Presentation of speaker’s gift to Stove Team International. Thanks for Contributions, Visitors, Guests.
